A Thought for December:

December is the 12th month of the year with the shortest daylight hours in the Northern Hemisphere.  The 6th is St Nicholas Day and the 21st is the winter solstice, the first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Look to the heavens at 9 PM on the 13th for a sight of the Geminid meteor shower. Of course, it is also the month for celebrating Christmas, so why not give a book as a Christmas gift especially if you know someone who enjoys reading.

My search for more quotes on books and reading was well rewarded, so as promised, here are some others I have come across.
